A man has died following a single-vehicle crash in the state's west.
About 2am today (Sunday 3 May 2025), emergency services were called to the Mid-Western Highway, Cowra, following reports of a crash.
Officers attached to Chifley Police District attended and found a car had left the road and hit a tree.
The driver, a 23-year-old man, was trapped for some time with officers rendering first-aid.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man; however, he died at the scene.
A crime scene was established and an investigation commenced into the circumstances of the crash.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
