Man dies after Tailem Bend crash in January, SA

A man has died after sustaining injuries in a crash at Tailem Bend in January, according to SA Police.

Just before midnight on Saturday 2 January, a Toyota sedan travelling east on the Princes Highway collided with the rear of a Subaru wagon, which was stationary on the side of the highway, about five kilometres west of Tailem Bend.

A 72-year-old Tailem Bend man that was driving the Subaru received significant injuries and was airlifted to the Flinders Medical Centre in a serious condition.

He passed away on 25 October at Seaford in a care facility.

The driver of the Toyota sedan, an 18-year-old man from Mannum was conveyed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with minor injuries. He was later reported by police for aggravated driving without due care, and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
