Man Dies After Two Vehicle Crash At Helensburgh

A man has died after a two-vehicle crash in Sydney's south today.

About 1pm (Saturday 31 May 2025), emergency services were called to the Old Princes Highway, Helensburgh, following reports a motorcycle and a ute had collided.

The rider of the motorcycle – a man believed to be aged in his 50s – died at the scene.

He is yet to be formally identified.

The driver of the car – a 26-year-old man – was not injured and he was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

A crime scene has been established as officers attached to Wollongong Police District commenced an investigation with the assistance of the Crash Investigation Unit, into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The Old Princes Highway is closed in both directions between Helensburgh and Waterfall, and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
