A driver has died after a two-vehicle crash on the M1 Motorway in Tuggerah.
Just after 3.15pm Monday (27 July 2026), emergency services were called to the M1 Motorway, Tuggerah, following reports of a two-vehicle crash.
On arrival, officers attached to Tuggerah Police District located the crash between a Toyota Hilux and an Audi Q5.
The driver of the Audi Q5 – a 37-year-old man – was treated at the scene by first responders and NSW Ambulance Paramedics, and was taken to John Hunter hospital.
The driver of the Toyota Hilux – a 32-year-old man – was also treated at the scene by first responders and NSW Ambulance Paramedics, and was air lifted to Westmead hospital.
Around 9pm Tuesday (28 July 2026) the 37-year-old driver has died in hospital.
Police commenced an investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
Police will prepare a report for the information of the Coroner.
