Police are investigating the death of a man at Ocean Grove this afternoon, Victoria Police say.
Emergency services were called to reports of a swimmer in distress at the beach about 3pm this afternoon.
The man, believed to be in his 50s and from Preston, was pulled from the water yet died at the scene.
Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
