Man dies following altercation in Kelso

A man has died in hospital following an altercation with another man at a unit complex in Kelso today.

Just before 5pm (Monday 25 February 2019), emergency services were called to a unit block on Bonner Street, Kelso, after reports of an altercation between two men.

On arrival officers located a 64-year-old man unconscious. He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Bathurst Hospital where he later died.

A 35-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Bathurst Police Station where he is currently assisting with inquires.

A crime scene has been established at the complex while investigations continue by officers from Chifley Police District.
