Man dies following Broadmeadows crash

A man has died in hospital following a single-vehicle crash in Broadmeadows yesterday (31 July), Victoria Police say.

The Holden Commodore sedan was travelling east along Camp Road about 12.30am when it lost control and crashed into a power pole near Jack Roper Reserve.

Emergency services attended and freed the male driver and sole occupant, who was trapped in the vehicle for a short time.

The 23-year-old man from Broadmeadows sustained life-threatening injuries, however died in hospital today.

The exact circumstances surrounding his death are yet to be determined and the investigation is ongoing.
