Man dies following collision in Shepparton

A man has died following a collision in Shepparton last week, Victoria Police say.

The collision, between a car and a concrete truck, occurred near the intersection of Verney Road and New Dookie Road about 8.30am on Thursday 6 October.

It is believed the driver of a Ford Falcon, an 80-year-old Shepparton man, veered across the intersection onto the wrong side of the road and into the path of the oncoming truck.

The driver of the Ford Falcon and a 77-year old female passenger, also from Shepparton, were treated on scene by paramedics and conveyed to hospital; however the man passed away in hospital this morning.

The female passenger sustained minor injuries in the collision.

The truck driver, a 72 year old Benalla man, was uninjured.

The investigation is ongoing.
