Man dies following Port Wakefield fire, SA

A man has died following a house fire in Port Wakefield last Sunday, according to SA Police.

At 10am on Sunday 25 June, police and fire crews were called to a house on Walters Street after reports of a fire.

A 83–year-old man was located at the rear of the house and flown to the Royal Adelaide Hospital.

Local CFS crews spent several hours controlling and extinguishing the blaze, but not before significant damage was caused.

The fire is not being treated as suspicious.

Sadly the elderly Port Wakefield man died on Monday 26 June.

Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
