Police are investigating following a fatal collision in Ringwood East last night (4 August), Victoria Police say.
It is believed a car and a motorcycle collided on Mt Dandenong Road near Mines Road just after 7pm.
The yet to be identified male motorcyclist sustained life threatening injuries and died in hospital.
The driver of the car, a 56-year-old Ringwood East man, and sole occupant, was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
He is assisting police with their enquiries.
The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined.
