A man has died after his car struck a tree in Anakie early this morning, Victoria Police say.
Police believe the car, which was travelling north on Bacchus Marsh Road, left the roadway and struck the tree sometime before 4am.
Police and emergency services are currently on scene and Bacchus Marsh road will remain closed between Carrs Rd and Granite Rd for a number of hours.
Police will investigate that cause of the collision and anyone who witnessed the crash is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
