Man dies when quad bike rolls in Sofala

A man has died after the quad bike he was riding rolled on a property in the state’s Central West overnight, NSW Police say.

The man left his home on the bike about 7.15pm (5 March 2017), and when he failed to return after an hour a friend went looking for him.

The missing man was found a short time later trapped under the quad bike in a creek bed with serious head injuries; he died at the scene.

Police from Mudgee Local Area Command are investigating.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
