Man drowns on NSW Central Coast

A man has died after he was found unconscious while snorkelling on the NSW Central Coast today, NSW Police say.

About 1pm today, emergency services were called to Gravelly Beach, near Soldier’s Beach, following reports of a concern for welfare.

Initial inquiries have led police to believe a 30-year-old man was snorkelling with family when he became unresponsive in the water.

The man was pulled out of the water; however, he could not be revived.

Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Local Area Command attended and will prepare a report for the Coroner.
