Man electrocuted in rail corridor in Lisarow

Police are investigating after the death of a man in the rail corridor on the State’s Central Coast overnight, NSW Police say.

Emergency services were called to Niagara Park Railway Station near Lisarow, just before 2am today (Friday 30 March 2018), following reports a man had been electrocuted.

The 23-year-old man was treated at the scene but could not be revived.

Officers from Brisbane Water Police District attended and established a crime scene.

Three other men at the location were arrested, and subsequently released pending further inquiries.

Initial investigations suggest the man was inside the rail corridor and came into contact with electrical equipment.

Police will prepare a report for the information of the Coroner outlining the full circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

Inquiries into the incident continue by officers attached to the Police Transport Command and Brisbane Water Police District.
