A man will face court today after a man was left with serious facial injuries after an overnight assault at Penrith, NSW Police say.
About 9.55pm today, police were called to Orana Avenue after reports of an assault.
When police arrived they found a 29-year-old man with facial injuries. He was treated on site by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital.
His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
As a result of inquiries by Penrith Police, a 37-year-old man was arrested nearby.
The 37-year-old man was charged with reckless assault causing grievous bodily harm. He was refused bail and will appear in Penrith Local Court tomorrow.
