Man falls from cliff after pursuit, NSW

Police are investigating after a man fell from a cliff following a police pursuit on Sydney’s northern beaches this morning, NSW Police say.

Just before 1.45am tomorrow, officers from Northern Beaches Local Area Command attempted to stop a vehicle on Warringah Road, Narraweena.

It failed to stop and a pursuit commenced.


The vehicle was followed into the Monash Parade car park and the driver, a 22-year-old man, ran into bushland.


A short time later, police located the man at the bottom of a cliff at Dee Why Cliff Reserve.

He was taken by ambulance to Royal North Shore Hospital where he is undergoing treatment. The extent of his injuries are not yet known.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
