Police are appealing for public assistance after a serious injury fail to stop crash at Bondi.
About 3.30pm (Thursday 31 October 2019), A Subaru Liberty and a Mercedes SUV collided head-on on Old South Head Road.
The male driver of the Subaru fled the scene on foot. He is described as Caucasian appearance, aged in his 40s, solid build, short dark coloured hair, and unshaven.
The 46-year-old female driver of the Mercedes was taken to St Vincent's Hospital in a stable condition with serious injuries.
The Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit are on scene conducting inquiries.
Investigations are ongoing to locate the driver of the Subaru.
