A crime scene has been established following the discovery of a man’s body in a shed at Morisset early this morning, NSW Police say.
Emergency services were called to Stockton Street about 2.20am (Monday 4 December 2017) following reports that a fire had broken out in a shed at the rear of the premises.
Upon arrival officers located the shed well alight.
The fire was quickly extinguished and a check of the premises revealed the body of a man, believed to be the occupant.
A crime scene has been established while investigations into the cause of the blaze continue by detectives from Lake Macquarie Local Area Command.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
