An investigation is underway after a man was found critically injured in the state's south this morning.
About 1am (Sunday 27 September 2026), emergency services were called to Calimo Street, North Albury, after reports of an injured man.
Officers attached to Murray River Police District responded and located a 28-year-old man suffering a stab wound to his neck.
He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics on scene before he was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
A crime scene was established and an investigation into the incident has commenced.
