Man, girl injured after crash east of Dubbo

A man and a child have been injured following a crash east of Dubbo.

Just before 6.15pm today (Friday 10 July 2020), emergency services were called to the intersection of Ballimore Road and the Golden Highway, Ballimore, about 35km east of Dubbo, after reports a truck and Toyota Landcruiser collided.

The driver of the Toyota was taken to Dubbo Hospital in a critical condition.

His passenger, a six-year-old girl, was trapped for a short time before being released and taken to Dubbo Hospital.

The truck driver was uninjured and has been taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from Orana Mid-Western Police District attended and established a crime scene.

The Golden Highway remains closed in both directions and motorists are urged to avoid the area.
