Man Identified After Fatal Crash At Richmond

The man who died after a fail-to-stop crash in Sydney's north-west has been identified.

Emergency services were called to Springwood Road at Yarramundi, about 10km south-west of Richmond, after the body of a man was found on the roadside about 11.30pm (Monday 11 August 2025).

The man has been identified as a 51-year-old man who lives locally.

Initial information suggests the man was struck by a vehicle that failed to stop.

Inquiries are now underway by specialist officers attached to the Crash Investigation Unit.

Police have been informed that a dark-coloured vehicle, possibly an early 2000s-model Ford Festiva, was seen to be travelling north along Springwood Road in an erratic manner around the time of the incident.

As investigation commence police are urging anyone who may have information about the crash – or was in the area at the time with any available dashcam/mobile phone footage – to contact Windsor Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
