Man in coma after fight in NSW Central Coast

A man has been put into an induced coma with a fractured skull after an alleged assault on NSW Central Coast this morning.

Police said the injured man was allegedly pushed to the ground twice, hitting his head on the roadway during a fight between two groups at a car park on Ocean View Drive, Terrigal.

The 37-year-old man sustained a fractured skull during the incident and was treated by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to Terrigal Haven, where he was airlifted to North Shore Hospital in a critical condition.

He remains in hospital in an induced coma.
