Man in court following drug charges in Coogee

A man will appear in court today after police allegedly located drug and cash during a search warrant at Coogee last night, NSW Police say.

In August 2016, officers attached to Bondi Detectives Unit commenced an investigation into the supply of prohibited drugs in the eastern suburbs.

About 6.15pm, Wednesday 7 September 2016, detectives, with the assistance of the Public Order and Riot Squad, executed a search warrant at a unit in Byron Street, Coogee.

Police allegedly located an array of drugs including cocaine, methylenedioxy-methamphetamine (MDMA), gamma-hydroxybutyric acid (GBH), crystal methamphetamine and cannabis.

It’s further alleged cash and other drug paraphernalia was also located.

A 26-year-old man was arrested at the unit and taken to Waverley Police Station. He was charged with three counts of supply indictable quantity of prohibited drug (cocaine, MDMA and ice), two counts of possess prohibited drug (cannabis and GBH) and deal with proceeds of crime.

He was refused bail to appear in Waverley Local Court today.
