Man in critical condition after crash in Strathfield

A man remains in a critical condition after a crash in Strathfield yesterday, NSW Police say.

Just after 5.30pm today, police were called to the intersection of Parramatta Road and Manson Road, Strathfield, following reports of a crash.

Officers from Burwood Local Area Command attended and found an 85-year-old man, who had been struck by a car at the location.

NSW Ambulance Paramedics attended and treated the man. He was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

The driver of the car was taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing. He continues to assist police with their inquiries.

Officers from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit are continuing their inquiries into the crash.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
