Man in critical condition in Kelso

A man remains in a critical condition in hospital after an altercation in Kelso this morning, NSW Police say.

Emergency services were called to Culnane Place at Kelso, about 10.30am (Friday 27 July 2018), after reports two men were involved in an altercation.

When police arrived, they found a man unconscious and commenced CPR until the arrival of NSW Ambulance paramedics.

The 40-year-old man was taken to Bathurst Hospital in a critical condition.

A 50-year-old man was arrested by police nearby, before being taken to Bathurst Hospital, where he remains.

Officers from Chifley Police District established a crime scene, which will be forensically examined.

Inquiries are continuing and anyone with information is urged to come forward.
