Man In Custody After Epping Death

Detectives from the Homicide Squad are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman in Epping last night.

Emergency services were called to reports of a woman found unresponsive at a property on Gottloh Street about 5.50pm on Thursday, 9 October.

It appeared the 44-year-old Epping woman had been seriously assaulted.

Paramedics attended however the woman died at the scene.

A 50-year-old Rockbank man was subsequently arrested last night and will be interviewed by police.

It's understood the parties are known to each other.

The investigation remains ongoing and police are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area, or who may have CCTV or dash-cam footage.
