A man is in custody after a police operation at Goonellabah, near Lismore, NSW Police say.
About 1.20pm (Friday 1 December 2017) police were called to a home on Heather Avenue, after reports of a man making threats.
A perimeter was established and negotiations commenced.
About 3.30pm the man was taken into custody without incident. He is currently being assessed by ambulance.
A firearm was also seized.
A female who was in the house at the time was uninjured.
A police operation remains in place, with specialists assessing a device at the location.
