A man is in custody following an evade incident in Hobart this afternoon, Tasmania Police say.
Police attempted to intercept a silver sedan on the Brooker Highway, New Town, as a result of a traffic offence about 1pm. The vehicle then continued on and was involved in a crash with another vehicle on the corner of Park St and Risdon Road a short time later.
Ambulance Tasmania was called to the scene as a precaution and no one was required to go to hospital.
As is our normal process, due to police interaction prior to the crash, Professional Standards attended and will conduct a review into the matter.
Investigations are continuing. Anyone with information should contact Hobart Police on 131444 or report anonymously to Crime Stoppers.
