Police are appealing for information after a man was injured durfing an altercation in Sydney's west yesterday evening.
About 7pm (Sunday 30 May 2021), emergency services were called to Kildare Road, Doonside, after reports of a brawl.
A 42-year-old man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital where he received treatment for a laceration to the head.
Police have been told a group of men fled the scene in a silver coloured vehicle after striking the man's head with an unknown object.
Items including a meat cleaver and metal pole were later seized by officers from Blacktown Police Area Command, who continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
