A man has been taken to hospital with serious burns following a residential fire at Lidcombe this afternoon, NSW Police say.
About 12.15pm today, emergency services responded to a fire at a duplex in Yarram Street.
Fire & Rescue NSW attended and extinguished the blaze which damaged the top floor.
A 39-year-old man sustained serious burns and was taken to Concord Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
Investigations are continuing into the circumstances surrounding the origin of the blaze.
