Man injured in home invasion - St Clair

An investigation is underway after a man was assaulted during a home invasion in Sydney's west yesterday.

Police have been told about 9pm (Tuesday 3 November 2020), a 32-year-old man was inside his home on Timesweep Drive, St Clair, when he heard the front door open and was confronted by a group of unknown men.

The resident was allegedly assaulted by the men, before they fled the scene. The man then notified neighbours who contacted emergency services.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for head injuries and a laceration to his arm, before being taken to Nepean Hospital in a stable condition.

Officers from Nepean Police Area Command established a crime scene, which was examined by specialist forensic police.
