A man missing from Broken Hill has been located safe and well after police were alerted of his whereabouts following the issue of a geo-targeting text message.
The 38-year-old man was last seen about 5.20pm on Thursday (13 January 2022) travelling on a bus in the Broken Hill area.
After failing to return home, officers attached to Barrier Police District commenced inquiries to locate him.
Following extensive inquiries – including a geo-targeting message issued today – police were alerted of the man's location in Broken Hill, where he was found safe and well about 3pm today (Sunday 16 January 2022).
Police would like to thank the public and media for their assistance.
