Man missing in bushland located - Murrumbidgee

A man missing in bushland in the state's Murrumbidgee region has been located safe.

The 20-year-old was last seen with a group of friends in Jimberoo National Park, Rankin Springs, on Friday (13 May 2022), when he wandered off alone and became lost.

When he was unable to be located, officers from Murrumbidgee Police District were notified and inquiries commenced into his whereabouts.

Following a search involving local police, PolAir, NSW Ambulance and the SES, the man was located safe and well just before 1.30pm today (Monday 16 May 2022).

He was winched to safety and taken to Griffith Base Hospital as a precaution.
