Man robbed at ATM - Lakemba

Police are investigating an aggravated robbery in Lakemba.

About 9.45pm (Monday 15 July 2019), a 53-year-old man was using an ATM on Haldon Street when he was approached by a man who grabbed his hand. and a struggle ensued.

The victim fell to the ground and in the struggle his wallet fell from his pocket.

The offender picked up the man's wallet and fled the scene on foot north on Haldon Street.

The 53-year-old did not require any medical treatment.

The man who police are searching for has been described 19-25 years old, 165cm, slim build, dark hair, and he was wearing a light green jacket and khaki long pants.

Officers from Campsie Police Area Command are conducting inquiries into the incident.
