Man seriously injured during crash at Orange

A man has been seriously injured following a two-vehicle crash in the state's central west yesterday.

Just after 2pm (Wednesday 13 October 2021), emergency services were called to the intersection of the Northern Distributor Road and Anson Street, Orange, afters reports a Mitsubishi Lancer and a garbage truck had collided.

The Mitsubishi driver, a 73-year-old man, suffered serious internal injuries and was taken to Orange Health Service for treatment. The man is now in a stable condition.

The 26-year-old truck driver was uninjured and taken to Orange Health Service for mandatory testing.

Officers from Central West Police District established a crime scene and have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
