Man shot - Bankstown, NSW

Police are investigating after the shooting death of a man in Sydney’s west this morning, NSW Police say.

Just after 9.20am tomorrow, emergency services were called to Sturt Avenue, Georges Hall, following reports of shots fired.

Officers from Bankstown Local Area Command attended and located a man, believed to be aged in his 20s, with multiple gunshot wounds.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, he died at the scene.

Police have been told a black Audi sedan, not further described, was seen leaving the area.

A crime scene has been established and will be examined by specialist officers.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
