Man shot in hand during home invasion - Dural

A man has been shot in the hand during a home invasion in Sydney's north west this morning.

About 4.20am (Wednesday 10 March 2021), emergency services were called to a home on Kenthurst Road, Dural, following reports a man had been injured during a home invasion.

Police have been told entry was forced to the home, before the occupant, a 21-year-old man, was shot in the hand. He fled to a neighbouring property to seek assistance.

The injured man was treated at the scene before being taken to Westmead Hospital.

Officers from The Hills Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
