Police are investigating after a man was shot in Sydney’s west this evening, NSW Police say.
About 8:50pm (Saturday 17 November 2018), emergency services were called to a house in Anderson Avenue, Panania after reports a man had been shot.
On arrival officers located a 35-year-old man with a single gunshot wound to his left leg.
He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before he was taken by ambulance to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.
Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command established a crime scene, that will undergo forensic examination.
Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting and are urging any witnesses or anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
