Man stabbed at bakery in Randwick

Police are investigating after a man was stabbed at a business in Sydney’s east, NSW Police say.

About 11.30pm (Tuesday 13 February 2018) a 40-year-old man was working at a bakery on Belmore Road, Randwick, when he was confronted by a man at the back door of the premises who stabbed him in the torso before running from the scene.

An ambulance was contacted and the man was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in a stable condition.

Officers from Eastern Beaches Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

At this stage the offender has only been described as wearing a black hooded jumper.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
