Man stabbed during robbery at Waterloo

Police are investigating after a man was stabbed during a robbery in Waterloo overnight.

Just before 1am (Saturday 25 July 2020), emergency services were called to a unit block on Pitt Street after reports of a stabbing.

A 70-year-old was found with a stab wound to his back and was taken to St Vincent's Hospital in a stable condition.

Police have been told the man was standing outside the unit block when an unknown man stabbed him and stole a small amount of cash.

Officers from South Sydney Police Area Command have established a crime scene and are investigating the incident.
