Man stabbed in aggravated break-in in Erina

Police are appealing for information after a man was stabbed during an aggravated break-in on the Central Coast this week, NSW Police say.

About 9pm on Monday (10 October 2016), a 47-year-old man was inside a unit on Karalta Road, Erina, when two unknown males forced entry to the property.

Police have been told the 47-year-old man was stabbed during a physical altercation, before the two males left the unit, stealing the injured man’s keys.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance Paramedics at the scene before being taken to Gosford Hospital for treatment for a laceration to his stomach and elbow. He was released yesterday.

Detectives from Brisbane Water Local Area Command are investigating the incident and would like to speak to two men who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The first man is described as being aged in his early 20s, about 185cm tall and of thin build.

The second man is described as being aged in his early 20s, about 170cm tall and of average build.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
