Man stabbed in Claymore

A man has been arrested after allegedly stabbing a man in Claymore today, NSW Police say.

About 3.45pm today, emergency services were called to a home on Norman Crescent, Claymore, following reports of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, police found a 26-year-old man with a stab wound to his abdomen.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man at the scene, before he was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.

Officers from Macquarie Fields Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

About 4.30pm, police arrested a 49-year-old man at Claymore.

Police have been told the men were known to each other.

He was taken to Campbelltown Police Station and is assisting police with inquiries.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
