Man Stabbed In Clearview

Police are investigating after a man was stabbed in the leg at Clearview overnight.

Police and paramedics were called to the intersection of Hampstead Road and Sarnia Avenue, Clearview, about 1.15am Tuesday 2 December.

It was reported that a man was sitting in his car and was approached by a group of men in another car who demanded his wallet.

During the altercation the 48-year-old victim was stabbed in the leg. He was taken to hospital by ambulance. Fortunately, his injuries were not life threatening.

The victim's car was seized for forensic examination.

While investigation is in its early stages, this does not appear to be a random incident.
