Man stabbed, man arrested in Lidcombe

A man has been arrested as police investigate a stabbing at Lidcombe this morning, NSW Police say.

Just before 3am (Friday 14 September 2018), emergency services were called to a unit on Mark Street, Lidcombe, after reports of an altercation.

Officers from Auburn Police Area Command attended and located a 39-year old man with a stab wound to his leg.

He was taken to Westmead Hospital. His injuries are not considered life threatening.

A 55-year-old man was arrested and taken to Auburn Police Station before being transferred to Westmead Hospital for treatment.

A crime scene has been established as inquiries continue.
