Man stabbed; search underway - Alexandria

A crime scene has been established after a man was stabbed at Alexandria.

Emergency services were called to a hotel on Henderson Street just before 3pm (Saturday 15 June 2019), where they found an 85-year-old man with a stab wound to his chest.

He was taken to hospital and is believed to be in a serious condition.

Officers from Redfern Police Area Command attended and were told he was stabbed by a man known to him, who then fled the scene.

A crime scene has been established and police have commenced inquiries to identify and locate the man involved.
