Police are investigating the stabbing of a man in Fairfield yesterday, NSW Police say.
About 6.30pm today, a 28-year-old man attended Fairfield Hospital suffering a stab wound to his leg.
Hospital staff contacted police who arrived and spoke with the 28-year-old man and his 23-year-old friend.
It’s believed the pair arrived at the hospital in a white BMW which was later found parked in Belair Parade, Prairiewood.
The vehicle has been seized by police for forensic examination.
The injured man has been transferred to Liverpool Hospital where he is expected to undergo surgery for a severed hamstring.
Detectives from Fairfield continue their investigations and would like to speak with anyone who may have information that could assist.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
