Police have arrested a man after a stabbing in South Melbourne late last night.
Emergency services responded to reports of a man found with injuries consistent with a stabbing on Clarendon Street about 10pm.
The victim, a 41-year-old South Melbourne man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries where he remains.
Officers quickly arrived on scene and searched the area for the alleged offender.
Police attended a nearby address and arrested a 22-year-old South Melbourne man.
He will be interviewed by investigators.
