Man threatened with knife during armed robbery - Marayong

An investigation is underway after a man was robbed at knifepoint in Sydney's north-west overnight.

About 8.35pm (Wednesday 2 June 2021), officers attached to Quakers Hill Police Area Command responded to reports of an armed robbery on Davis Road, Marayong.

Police were told a man, aged 27, had met with two other men to discuss the sale of his phone.

One of the men allegedly took the phone and left the scene. The 27-year-old then became involved in a physical altercation with the other man, who produced a kitchen knife and lunged at him.

The other man returned and punched the 27-year-old, who was knocked to the ground and sustained a head injury. He was treated at the scene by paramedics.

Police were told both men left the scene on foot towards Osborne Road.

One of the men is described as being of African appearance, about 18-years-old, 180cm tall, slim build with short curly hair.

The other man is described as being of African appearance, about 185cm tall and slim build.

A crime scene was established and inquiries are underway. Anyone with information is urged to call Quakers Hill Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
