Man trapped under car, woman arrested in Goulburn

Police are investigating following a domestic violence incident at Goulburn yesterday.

About 7.30pm yesterday, a 64-year-old man was walking on Valley Walk, Goulburn, when he was hit by a vehicle and pinned against a fence.

Police have been told the driver, a 52-year-old woman, exited the vehicle and assaulted the man, before returning to the car.

A bystander intervened and removed the keys from the ignition.

Emergency services attended and the man was removed from under the car by Police Rescue. He was airlifted to Canberra Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

A short time later, officers from The Hume Local Area Command located the woman injured inside a home. She was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Goulburn Base Hospital, NSW Police say.

About 2.45pm today, the woman, known to the man, was arrested and remains in hospital under police guard.

Inquires are continuing.
