Man wanted for infants death hands himself in

A 22-year-old Benalla man has been arrested in relation to the death of a seven-week-old boy.

Homicide Squad detectives are investigating after the baby was admitted to a Benalla hospital on Friday 25 October with life-threatening injuries before being transferred to Monash Children's Hospital where he died on 30 October.

It is believed the man handed himself in to a Melbourne police station around 6pm today (2 November).

The investigation remains ongoing
